Initial Sin Revisited

If in our quest to be intimate with Christ personally we ignore, neglect or simply forget to communicate to him through prayer, we are in a sense repeating the first sin of creation. Eve and Adam were tempted by the serpent and enticed to become like God.

We will unknowingly be inclined to remove him from the process of guiding our lives if we fail to come to him in prayer, thus becoming the god of our own life.

Genesis 3:1 "The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” 4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Take this opportunity to pray!
Mike
